Moore's Law's Effect on Education

Will technology blow up the classical concept of education? Ty and Aaron are probably closest to this. Cool article by Cringely.

He makes some great points. I don't know about K-12 but certainly the weaker universities are under threat. Online degrees are getting pretty popular. But I still think we will always have ground schools in some form. Not just because of the students but because of the creation of knowledge. I think Academics will still want to be face to face. Especially in those cases where physical labs are required. etc.

Didn't read the article, but I did hear a report on NPR this morning about this - with regard to online courses for high school students. The students will go into the library at school and check out a computer and work on their online class - crazy!
