Try our vegimatic before you get the blendtech. I am sure the Blendtex is better, but you need to see how much you might enjoy megablender activities before you buy one. They do not fit under the counter easily....so they sort of stare you in the face all the time. If it becomes a vital piece of kitchen equipment then you won't mind it. but if it is just occasionally used...Well, do you really need it or would a little Osterizer fit the bill at a better price tag?

We have a Blendtec. Second one, actually. Love it, love it, love it. I use it twice most days. It does all kinds of fancy things. I'm pretty sure it does a mean tap dance. I use it mostly for whipping up my protein shakes. The kids love to make ice cream in it.
Got my second one at Costco. They have those Roadshows there on occasion.
