South Africans have been rising up against foreigners in the townships and the CBD in Joburg. Probably would not have affected us directly since it's about poor blacks, primarily from Zim, taking jobs and causing crime. Nevertheless, our quiet suburb will feel particularly peaceful at bedtime tonight. I really hope Trust is ok...

Is trust an Immagrant? Are there distinct features that you can tell a south African from someone from another African Nation?
First, it is hard for an outsider to distinguish African nationals-but after a lot of time you can see differences and notice, and the tribes certainly distinguish themselves. They know who is a zulu, a xhosa and whose not. We've tried to email Trust since we got back to the states but haven't reached him; he's changed email addresses and he was "let go" as the driver for the manager that replaced John. We are worried about him and hope he is o.k.
